The Galaxy Training Academy is a self-paced online training event for beginners and advanced learners who want to improve their Galaxy data analysis skills. Over the course of one week, we offer a diverse selection of learning track for you.

Researchers entering the Digital Humanities are often confronted with high software costs, a lack of programming skills, and limited computing resources. So, how can efficient and good scientific practice be achieved including good research data management?

This workshop aims to introduce participants to the Galaxy Project as a powerful, open-source platform for data science and FAIR data management. Attendees will learn how to process, analyze, and share data in a reproducible and accessible way – without requiring advanced programming skills. Calling all learners! Join us for the second round of #BioNT’s third workshop titled: An introduction to High Performance Computing! Join the 2 day workshop on HPC resources, the cluster management tool Slurm, and how to run applications and workflows on these resources. Register until the 15th of November.

The aim of this workshop is to lay a foundation for the automated application of (bioinformatics) programs. Accordingly, interested biologists and physicians and other people interested, are invited to participate in a hands-on, in-person workshop, where they can become familiar with the Linux environment and its associated landscape, using common bioinformatics tools as examples for creating shell scripts. The last day of the workshop will cover the fundamentals of the Slurm job scheduler, specifically as used in the HZI cluster, although this material is generally applicable.

There will also be time available to allow participants to discuss their own bioinformatics problems. The course assumes no Linux knowledge, and will be taught in English. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

Join the Bioconductor Carpentries RNA-Seq Workshop on July 22-23, 2024, at the Van Andel Institute. Ideal for biologists and researchers with some R experience, this hands-on workshop offers expert training in RNA-seq analysis, practical skills enhancement, and networking opportunities.
